Newest RP - Mid-Summer's Feast
Alannityr, an elven messenger to the Royal Family, has been busy nailing notices to every open space throughout the Kingdom, be it trees, signs, or walls.  The notice consists of one scroll with writing on it, and a few blank scrolls attached below it. A copy of the notice appears below:

Anyone who would like to help out is welcome, and as Alannityr is reported to have said: "The Queen is definitely not stingy with her rewards for good help.". ((OOC note: Please send your character's name and an email address to [email protected] if you're interested.))

Changes to Room Rules
Anyone who has been keeping up with the room's message boards probably knows this, but to reiterate for those who don't, the room's rules have been modified a bit. The modifications are mainly to pic content, and the definitions of god-moding/zippiness. You can find them here in detail. The next section will also apply to our room as well.

"The following applies to all public and supported private rooms. Without regard to how they are rated.

1) Pics- your rooms might be rated M, but there are some standards. Pictures showing female nipples, genitalia, or public hair (or if there should be public hair there), or sexual acts, INCLUDING masturbation are not appropriate for IMC and will earn you a picture ban. 

2) this should be a no brainer, but do not hotlink anything in the room that would not be appropriate as a picture posted with your handle.

3) Disciplinary matters are NOT to be discussed in the room. Not by Hosts/Staff with 3rd parties, not between 3rd parties. Period. If you see such things going on, they will and should be stopped, ASAP. This includes bans and staff changes. People who fail to comply will get a site ban through my office as soon as I find out about it. The only thing that you should say if asked about discipline is "Chatter X was banned/suspended" or "S/he is not staff any longer."

4) Rooms will NOT degenerate into cybersex rooms, I don't care if it's 4 AM PST and you think it's only you and your partner. If I have to lurk some night and ban an entire room full of people I will. If necessary I will just start pulling logs from early mornings in rooms that are offending and just hand out the bans as I read." 
 

Dragondale's staff fully supports this and WILL enforce this. Help make it easier for everyone by obeying it all from the start. Thanks. :)

How to Get an IMC Custom Gummi
I'm sure many of you have seen some people floating around with gummis that are different than the usual alien. These are people who have donated money towards IMC, and in return are entitled to submit a 'custom gummi' for use next to their handles. IMC really needs the support of its chatters to stay open and accessible to everyone as a free and advertisement-free chat site. You can help. More info can be found here on how to donate to IMC and receive your very own custom gummi.

Source Handles: Knowing What's What Before Clicking Submit on the Form
I know everyone has heard this mucho times, but still there are problems arising with it. The best thing to do before submitting ANY handle to IMC is to run a quick search on it to make sure it isn't some obscure source material. There are numerous search engines out there to use, and in most cases a search only takes a couple minutes. If you run it using the 'Phrase' option, you'll get more detailed results, and can thus avoid any mishaps by requesting a source handle.

If you do come across a source material handle that you wish to use, you MUST contact Amanda via EMAIL.  She will need your login name, your email address you use with your account, and the handle you wish to have.

A few notes about doing this:
1) The host reserves the right to refuse source material handles for use in Dragondale City upon her determination of the need for that handle.
2) Use of a source material handle assigned to a mun by the host in any room other than Dragondale without permission from that room's host will result in the mun's loss of that handle, and possibly the refusal of further source handle requests.
3) Requests take time to fill. Dragondale has its own means of handing out source handles. Refusal to follow these (which the mun will be notified of upon request) will result in that handle being denied. DO NOT pester the host through annoying e-mails about the status of your handle unless you are directed to do so.
4) The host reserves the right to remove source handles from a mun's account without checking with the mun first. The mun will be notified via email of the removal.

Staff Openings
Be on the lookout for a notice of new staff openings. Applications will be taken for Support Staff reportedly within the next month or so. News of what to do will be posted on the message boards and announced in the room.

Roleplay Tip of the Month
Too often, someone will rely on a lengthy tagline that describes their character, using this as a start to a RP.  Remember, taglines are an OOC thing. While you can use them to describe your character's appearance, weapons, personality and other things, they don't really work as far as an actual RP goes. Another character cannot look at your character and read what is written in your tagline. Use a good opening post for that, describing what a person would see of your character at a glance. Everything else comes out in the play. :)
